The Susquehanna Council, Boy Scouts of America uses First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania grant to purchase new Digital Imager for use with Scouting programs
The Susquehanna Council, B.S.A. recently received a $13, 370.00 grant from the 2021 Williamsport Lycoming Community Fund at the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania. Thanks to this grant, the Boy Scouts were able to purchase a digital imager.
Project Information:
Williamsport, PA August 30, 2021 — The Susquehanna Council has announced receiving a grant from the FCFP for a new digital imager just in time for recruitment season. This imager is yet another quality collaboration between the Council and FCFP, and the Council Scout Executive is grateful for the First Community Foundation’s grant program.
“We have wanted to update our technology and reduce our dependence on printed materials,” Scout Executive Dennis Dugan said in reaction to the grant. “Obviously, this wait has been well worth it. This digital imager will change the way we recruit, market and communicate the benefits of the Scouting program to the families in communities we serve.”
“We will now be able to electronically distribute marketing materials for fundraising, recruitment, and provide an increase in digital communications. We will have an annual survey, and we will provide vibrant recruitment materials to those schools which use electronic communication to parents and youth.” Dugan continued. “The First Community Foundation Partnership continually listens to the nonprofits in Central Pennsylvania and develops opportunities to help them grow.”
