Brothers, during these trying times, it is our mission to keep you as safe as possible. With this in mind, it is our decision to make Fall Powwow a one day event on Saturday, August 15. The cost for this event will be $10. If you had an event pass from last year, we will be honoring it for this event. We will be checking in at 8:30 a.m., and everyone will get a temperature check. If you have a fever, you will not be able to enter. Brotherhood discussions will begin shortly after check in, and the brotherhood ceremony will immediately follow. This will be your only opportunity to take your brotherhood this year, so if you plan to take your brotherhood, you need to attend in the morning. After lunch we will be hosting lodge officer elections and the Vigil call-out. We plan to make the most out of our day and be out by 5 p.m. All who attend will be required to wear a mask at all times. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience, but let’s get together to make it the best we can! Registration forms and more information will be available soon.

The National Order of the Arrow has released a temporary accommodation for scouts who need to meet the camping requirement for membership. This temporary camping night policy is in effect until Sept. 1, 2020.

Unit elections can be held from June 8 to August 7, 2020. Scoutmasters can schedule elections by contacting the appropriate Chapter Chief and Lodge Advisor Dave Stancavage. Elected scouts will be informed of their Order of the Arrow candidacy immediately following their unit election. Candidates will then have the opportunity to complete their Ordeal during the weekend of September 11-12, 2020, or during any of the three weekends of the 2021 Scouts BSA resident camp season.

Because of the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the plans outlined above are subject to change. Please continue to check social media and email for further announcements.
